BRAZIL
The famous yellow shirt is back to its brilliant best and the most successful team in football will be looking to capture its sixth World Cup title. Tite has assembled a team of entertainers who attack with style and score goals for fun. Built in the mould of the traditional Brazilian teams this squad will excite anyone who enjoys the beautiful game. The Seleção is littered with stars but the star that shines the brightest is the ultra-skilled Neymar. Now the world's most expensive footballer, Neymar, will be seeking revenge from a premature exit in the last World Cup. In fact, the entire country of Brazil expects revenge for the 7-1 battering they received from eventual champions Germany. The way this team has prepared, it is not far-fetched to think revenge is on the horizon. Injury has somewhat disrupted their almost flawless preparation. Neymar has not featured in a competitive game since February and the withdrawal of the veteran right back, Daniel Alves is a big loss. Despite this, the Brazilians just have too much quality to be overlooked. They have finally found a rightful wearer of the number 9 jersey in Gabriel Jesus. At just 21-years old the forward scores and wins wherever he goes. His goal scoring rate for both club and country is exceptional and he was instrumental in Brazil winning its first Olympic gold.
Philippe Coutinho has finally made his dream move to FC Barcelona fitting in perfectly to a competitive side, already scoring a La Liga hat-trick for the Spanish champions. Coutinho's trickery and long shot ability make him another dangerous option in the Brazilian attack. It's not done there, as Willian, Douglas Costa and Roberto Firmino all have the ability to single handily tear apart opposition defences.
The attack is supported by Barcelona's and Real Madrid's midfield hard-men in Paulinho and Casemiro. Both players worked well with each other throughout qualifying. When the world's best left back, Marcelo, bolts up the wing he will be covered by a more than capable combination of central defenders between Thiago Silva, Miranda and Marquinhos. This Brazilain team is undeniably constructed for world football dominance in Russia.

How they Qualified: Brazil cruised through a typically difficult South American World qualification phase and became the first team to qualify for the World Cup. The arrival of Tite in place of the much-criticized Dunga signalled the beginning of a new era of Brazilian football. With Dunga, the Brazilians lost their very first World Cup qualifier to a Chilian outfit who eventually failed to qualify for the Russian showpiece. Tite then took the wheel and the team never lost again. Scoring 41 goals and conceding just 11, Brazil comes into the World Cup with the best attack and best defence of all the South American teams. In fact, Tite's first nine qualification games in charge were all convincing victories, including a 3-0 mauling of arch-rivals Argentina in Belo Horizonte.
Star Players: Neymar(PSG), Marcelo(Real Madrid), Philippe Coutinho(Barcelona), Casemiro(Real Madrid), Gabriel Jesus(Manchester City)
Wildcard: Roberto Firmino- While all the attention is rightfully on the emergence of Brazilian phenom Gabriel Jesus, Roberto Firmino is quietly introducing himself to the Brazilian fans. A vital piece to the most dangerous attack in Europe, the former Hoffenheim playmaker finished this season with 27 goals and 17 assists in all competitions. Not well known to the Brazilian public because of his unorthodox football journey, Firmino's involvement might be a sort of secret weapon for the Canarinhos. Jesus is still young and does pick up his fair share of injuries, so if needed Firmino will be certainly ready to contribute.
